Baby Bonding

September 26, 2016 Katherine Tolbert

In Attack of the Clones, Yoda turns to his students to ask them a question and after their response he states, "Truly wonderful, the mind of child is."

Indeed, how wonderful it is, but it goes even further than that. The mind of the baby in the womb is wonderful and interacting with mom each day, so much so that babies are also active participants in birth.

Dr. Thomas Verny, author of The Secret Life of the Unborn Child, writes that babies are cognizant in the womb. They are interacting based on the experiences they receive from its mother interacting in the world. The baby learns to adapt to the changes that mother experiences from stress to happiness, when she sleeps, and when she eats.

Why is this important to know?

Because you can connect with your baby in the womb on an emotional level. and it is both healthy for baby and for mom. It is normal to talk to your baby, sing to your baby, read to your baby and play with your baby (belly). You can even send thoughts from the mother "force" to your baby (hypnosis). Begin nurturing and caring for the mind of your child even in the womb and enjoy those moments of bonding as you prepare for the birth of that child earth side.

Touch, Connect, Sing, Read - it is never too early.

This idea of pre-birth bonding is discussed in our HypnoBirthing classes in Northern Virginia along with much more wisdom to help you plan and prepare for your birthing day!
